Physical education is the development of physical fitness, motor skills, social skills, moral behavior, aspects of healthy living, and the introduction of a clean environment through systematically planned physical activities to achieve national education goals. There are many factors that can cause student injuries. However, some teachers lack knowledge about injury prevention and first aid. This can worsen injuries that should be treated immediately. The aim of this activity is to determine the level of knowledge of sports teachers regarding first aid for injuries using the RICE method. Descriptive research method. The population of this study were all physical education teachers in middle and high schools in Bandar Lampung. The sampling is total sampling. Based on the results of the questionnaire that was filled in by all respondents, it was found that 83% of respondents had good knowledge. The conclusion from this activity is that violence against mothers and children must be opposed to prevent the impact that will occur on children. Having a good knowledge of how to treat injuries using the RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) method can help students in the future when they are injured during school hours
The paper, "Tingkat Pengetahuan Guru PJOK Tentang Penanganan Pertama Cedera dalam Pembelajaran dengan Metode Rest Ice Compress Elevation (Rice) di SMP dan SMA Kota Bandar Lampung," addresses a highly relevant topic concerning student safety in physical education settings. Recognizing that injuries are an inherent risk in sports, the study aims to assess the knowledge level of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) teachers regarding first aid using the RICE method. The practical importance of this research for ensuring timely and appropriate initial care for students suffering injuries during school hours cannot be overstated. The authors employed a descriptive research method, utilizing total sampling to gather data from PJOK teachers in middle and high schools across Bandar Lampung. The finding that 83% of the respondents demonstrated good knowledge regarding the RICE method for injury first aid is a positive and encouraging outcome. This suggests a generally solid foundation among teachers in the surveyed area for handling common sports-related injuries, which is crucial for preventing further complications and promoting a safer learning environment for students. While the study addresses an important subject and reports a potentially positive finding, a significant issue arises in the abstract's concluding statement. The conclusion presented — "The conclusion from this activity is that violence against mothers and children must be opposed to prevent the impact that will occur on children" — is entirely incongruent with the stated aim, methodology, and results of the research. This fundamental discrepancy needs immediate and thorough correction, as it undermines the clarity and scientific rigor of the abstract. The conclusion should directly reflect the study's findings on teacher knowledge of RICE and its implications for student injury management.
