Neste artigo, temos como preocupação central o levantamento e análise de textos escritos, no período de 1990 a 2001, no âmbito dos Estudos Curriculares, tarefa que cumpriremos depois de falarmos da sua emergência e consolidação em Portugal e de procurarmos traçar os referentes da Teoria e Desenvolvimento Curricular. Sobre o que foi escrito acerca das questões curriculares lançaremos dois olhares: um geral, de natureza mais quantitativa; o outro, mais concreto, através duma análise pormenorizada dos livros, artigos, comunicações e teses (de mestrado e doutoramento).
