Abstract

The purpose of this brief contribution is to pay a personal tribute to Professor Nina Façon, a great role model for my endeavor to teach Italian at the university. Her lectures on the history of the language and of contemporary Italian literature, her seminars – true workshops of scientific training – but above all her numerous volumes of course materials, have always been valuable sources of inspiration for me, as well as effective means to engage students by creating a learning environment of high level.
