Review

This paper, "Youth Empowerment Through Digital Marketing for UMKM Development in Ponggok Village, Mojo District, Kediri Regency," presents a highly relevant and timely community service initiative. The abstract clearly outlines the program's objective: to empower local youth through digital marketing skills to foster the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ponggok Village. Employing an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the program focuses on practical skill transfer for social media platforms, indicating a well-conceived strategy for local economic upliftment and community engagement. A significant strength of this program lies in its dual focus on youth empowerment and direct economic development. By equipping young individuals with capabilities in platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, the initiative addresses both skill development among youth and the market access challenges faced by local MSMEs. The reported "significant improvement in the digital marketing capabilities" of both youth and MSME owners, leading to "broader and more effective product promotion," underscores the program's immediate positive impact. The utilization of the ABCD framework further highlights a participatory and sustainable approach to community development, making the findings particularly compelling for similar grassroots interventions. While the abstract effectively conveys the program's success and contribution, future publications could benefit from greater methodological detail and quantitative evidence. For instance, elaborating on how "significant improvement" was measured, including specific metrics for reach, engagement, or sales increases for the MSMEs, would further solidify the claims. Additionally, a discussion of the challenges encountered during implementation and strategies employed to overcome them would enrich the narrative for practitioners. The abstract's concluding suggestions regarding ongoing support and product certifications (halal, BPOM) are excellent points for future research or program expansion, indicating a thoughtful consideration of long-term sustainability and market penetration for the MSMEs. Such additions would enhance the paper's academic rigor and practical replicability.
