Abstract

Problem remaja putus sekolah merupakan masalah sosial yang rumit karena memengaruhi masa depan generasi muda dan pembangunan sosial daerah. Sebagai salah satu kota di Jawa Timur yang menghadapi masalah ini, Kota Blitar membutuhkan peran lembaga yang berpengalaman untuk memberikan layanan dan pembinaan yang tepat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana Dinas Sosial Provinsi Jawa Timur, melalui Unit Pelayanan Teknis (UPT) Pelayanan Sosial Bina Remaja Blitar, berperan dalam membina remaja di Kota Blitar dan mengetahui metode yang digunakan untuk membina dan membantu remaja yang putus sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UPT Pelayanan Sosial Bina Remaja Blitar memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membimbing remaja melalui berbagai program, seperti asesmen sosial, pembinaan karakter, pelatihan keterampilan, rehabilitasi sosial, dan pendampingan psikososial dengan menggabungkan partisipasi masyarakat dan koordinasi antar Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD), strategi yang digunakan bersifat integratif. Pelayanan berfokus pada pemulihan kondisi sosial remaja, membangun kepercayaan diri, dan membangun keterampilan untuk membantu mereka menjadi mandiri.
