Introduction

Penguatan ekonomi lokal melalui produksi briket di gampong bungong aceh utara. Tingkatkan ekonomi lokal Gampong Bungong, Aceh Utara, melalui produksi briket arang dari limbah tempurung kelapa. Program ini berhasil menaikkan pendapatan masyarakat hingga 80% dan menciptakan lapangan kerja baru.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas ekonomi masyarakat Gampong Bungong, Aceh Utara, melalui produksi briket arang berbasis pemanfaatan limbah biomassa lokal, khususnya tempurung kelapa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan pemberdayaan partisipatif yang meliputi survei potensi bahan baku, pelatihan teknis pembuatan briket, uji coba produksi dengan beberapa formula, pendampingan manajemen usaha sederhana, serta evaluasi dampak ekonomi. Khalayak sasaran dipilih dengan purposive sampling, yaitu pemuda dan ibu rumah tangga yang berkomitmen untuk mengikuti program. Hasil pengujian mutu menunjukkan bahwa formula berbahan dasar 100% tempurung kelapa memiliki kualitas terbaik dengan kadar air 8,5%, kadar abu 9,8%, nilai kalor 5800 kcal/kg, dan kepadatan 1,05 g/cm³. Sementara itu, formula campuran dengan sekam dan serbuk gergaji menurunkan mutu, namun tetap relevan dari sisi ekonomi karena memanfaatkan limbah yang melimpah. Dari sisi ekonomi, terjadi peningkatan pendapatan rumah tangga peserta dari rata-rata Rp 1.500.000 menjadi Rp 2.700.000 per bulan atau naik sekitar 80% setelah program berjalan dua bulan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berhasil menciptakan lapangan kerja baru, memperkuat kohesi sosial melalui terbentuknya kelompok usaha, serta meningkatkan keterampilan manajerial masyarakat. Rekomendasi dari kegiatan ini adalah perlunya dukungan lebih lanjut dari pemerintah desa maupun lembaga terkait dalam bentuk akses modal, peningkatan kualitas peralatan, dan fasilitasi pemasaran agar usaha briket dapat berkelanjutan serta direplikasi di gampong lain dengan potensi biomassa serupa.
