Desa Sendangrejo, Kecamatan Minggir, Kabupaten Sleman, DIY memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor perikanan air tawar, terutama dalam budi daya ikan nila. Meskipun begitu, desa ini menghadapi tantangan berupa harga ikan yang rendah dan ketidakmampuan untuk mengolah ikan secara efisien, yang menyebabkan kerugian bagi pembudi daya. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, PPK Ormawa Nawasatya UGM melaksanakan program pelatihan diversifikasi produk olahan ikan nila bagi ibu-ibu KWT dan PKK Desa Sendangrejo. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah ikan nila menjadi produk bernilai tambah, seperti nuget dan stik ikan yang dapat memperpanjang masa simpan dan menarik minat konsumen. Melalui metode pelatihan partisipatif dengan pendekatan PRA dan demonstrasi percobaan, hasil evaluasi pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta. Program ini tidak hanya membantu meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, tetapi juga berpotensi menjadikan Desa Sendangrejo sebagai pusat pengolahan ikan yang berkualitas.
