Introduction

Kode etik profesi bimbingan dan konseling. Mengkaji kode etik profesi bimbingan dan konseling di Indonesia. Artikel ini membahas prinsip, fungsi, dan implementasi kode etik ABKIN untuk menjamin layanan konseling yang etis, kompeten, dan terpercaya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini mengkaji secara mendalam mengenai eksistensi dan urgensi kode etik dalam profesi bimbingan dan konseling sebagai landasan normatif yang mengatur perilaku profesional konselor. Tujuan utama dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan prinsip-prinsip dasar, fungsi, serta implementasi kode etik dalam praktik layanan bimbingan dan konseling di Indonesia. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi dokumentasi dan wawancara. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kode etik memiliki peranan esensial dalam menjaga kerahasiaan informasi konseli, meningkatkan kompetensi profesional konselor, serta menjamin pelaksanaan layanan yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai etis, keadilan, dan penghormatan terhadap keberagaman budaya. Kode etik yang dirumuskan oleh Asosiasi Bimbingan dan Konselingndonesia (ABKIN) berfungsi sebagai instrumen regulatif yang mendukung terwujudnya praktik konseling yang bertanggung jawab, bermartabat, dan sesuai dengan standar profesi. Simpulan dari kajian ini menegaskan bahwa keberadaan kode etik tidak hanya memperkuat integritas profesi konselor, tetapi juga meningkatkan kualitas layanan yang diberikan kepada konseli serta membangun kepercayaan publik terhadap profesi bimbingan dan konseling.

Its contribution lies in systematically outlining the various dimensions through which an ethics code elevates both the internal standards and external perception of the profession.
