Mayoritas jalur D-rated akibat lalu lintas tinggi, butuh perbaikan signifikan demi transportasi berkelanjutan dan keselamatan pesepeda.
Perkembangan transportasi ramah lingkungan seperti bersepeda menuntut tersedianya infrastruktur yang aman dan nyaman. Di Kota Metro, khususnya kawasan Taman Merdeka, jalur sepeda belum optimal dan sering tumpang tindih dengan kendaraan bermotor. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi tingkat pelayanan jalur sepeda menggunakan metode Bicycle Level of Service (BLOS), yang mempertimbangkan faktor volume lalu lintas, kecepatan kendaraan, persentase kendaraan berat, kondisi perkerasan, dan lebar jalan. Penelitian dilakukan di lima ruas jalan utama sekitar Taman Merdeka. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar jalur sepeda berada pada peringkat D, mengindikasikan kondisi kurang hingga tidak layak bagi pesepeda. Hal ini disebabkan oleh tingginya volume kendaraan, serta kurangnya perlindungan fisik pada jalur sepeda. Kesimpulannya, jalur sepeda di kawasan ini memerlukan perbaikan signifikan agar dapat mendukung transportasi berkelanjutan dan meningkatkan keselamatan pesepeda.
