Review

This research addresses a critically important and often understudied area: the specific experiences of 2SLGBTQ+ community members regarding discrimination and community integration in a defined regional context, Perth-Huron. The study's explicit aim to support service providers and foster a better sense of belonging is highly commendable, demonstrating a clear commitment to applied research with direct, positive community impact. This localized focus is a significant strength, as it allows for the development of tailored interventions that are more likely to be effective than generalized approaches. While the abstract clearly outlines the research focus and its practical objectives, it provides limited detail regarding the methodological specifics of the "survey component" beyond stating that findings will be presented. Critical elements such as the survey design, recruitment strategy, sample size, and specific measures used for discrimination and community integration are not elaborated upon. Given that the research is ongoing, these details are likely still being refined or will be presented in the full work. However, their absence in the abstract makes it challenging to fully assess the robustness and generalizability of the preliminary findings. Despite the current brevity in methodological detail, this ongoing research holds significant promise. By focusing on the lived experiences within Perth-Huron, the study has the potential to generate invaluable data for understanding specific challenges and identifying areas for improvement in support services. The full presentation of this work, including a comprehensive description of the methodology and a more in-depth discussion of findings and their implications, will be crucial for service providers seeking to genuinely reduce discrimination and enhance community integration for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals in the region.
