Introduction

Csízió és pápisták a petrovay‐énekeskönyvben. Elemzés a Petrovay‐énekeskönyvről, azonosítva a Csízió forrását (lőcsei kiadás) és egy ismeretlen, pápistaellenes verset, mely Petrovay protestáns nézeteit tükrözi.

Abstract

igyekeztem azonosítani a forrást, amelyből Petrovay másolhatta a részleteket. A csízió eredetileg 24 verssorból álló öröknaptár volt, később a kalendárium szinonimája lett, leghatározottabb formáját pedig a kolozsvári és lőcsei kiadásokban érte el. A vizsgálat során, összevetve a különböző kiadásokat és a nyomda többi termékét, arra jutottam, hogy Petrovaynak a lőcsei kiadást kellett használnia ennél a szövegnél. Ezen kívül az Illik emlékeznünk... incipitű versről igyekszem bebizonyítani, hogy egyetlen eddig ismert versnek sem feleltethető meg, nem romlott változatról beszélhetünk, hanem egy parafrázist olvashatunk az énekeskönyvben. A szerző feltehetően tudatosan változtatta meg az eredeti éneket, hogy új, más, a pápistákat elítélő üzenetet képviseljen. Ez már a második szöveg lenne a kéziratban, amely mostanáig teljesen ismeretlen volt a szakirodalom számára, és nem az egyetlen, amely a katolikusokat támadja. Ez utóbbi nem is meglepő, hiszen Petrovayról lehet tudni, hogy protestáns érzelmű volt.

The paper further notes that this is not the only text attacking Catholics within Petrovay's work, which aligns with Petrovay's known Protestant sympathies. Overall, the research offers valuable insights into textual transmission, authorial intent, and the religious context of Petrovay's hymnbook.
