This paper presents an intriguing and timely analysis of the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan's (OJK) influence on customer financing applications through the lens of Antonio Gramsci's theory of hegemony. By adopting a critical theoretical framework, the research moves beyond a purely economic or legal interpretation of financial regulation, offering a more nuanced understanding of power dynamics. The application of Gramscian concepts to a financial oversight body like OJK is particularly commendable, promising to illuminate how dominant ideologies, values, and policies are established and maintained within the financial sector, thereby shaping access and processes for customer financing. The abstract outlines a comprehensive analytical scope, proposing to investigate OJK's hegemony through several key Gramscian dimensions. These include the control over ideology and norms, the exercise of economic power, and the institutional and regulatory mechanisms that solidify OJK's dominant position. This multi-faceted approach suggests a robust examination of how a financial authority can systematically influence the very structure and operational principles of financing. The stated conclusion, highlighting the potential for created inequality in access and management of financing, as well as the emergence of resistance and counter-hegemony, indicates that the research seeks to provide a dynamic rather than static account of power, offering insights into potential pathways towards financial inclusivity. Overall, this research promises a significant contribution to both financial studies and critical social theory, particularly in the context of emerging economies. To fully realize its potential, the complete paper would need to meticulously demonstrate how OJK's specific policies and practices align with Gramscian notions of ideological and institutional control. Furthermore, providing concrete examples of the observed disparities in financing access and elaborating on the forms and manifestations of "resistance" and "counter-hegemony" would strengthen the empirical grounding of this theoretically rich analysis. The proposed study offers a vital critical perspective on financial governance and its socio-economic implications.
