Abstract

The study aims to apply variations of exercises that are easy to understand and do, namely variations of Tri Angle passing exercises. The purpose of this study is to determine how the influence of Tri Angle exercise variations in improving the accuracy of Passing Using the Inside of the Foot in Futsal Games for extracurricular students of SMP HKBP Sei Mati Medan on passing results. This type of research is quantitative research with the population and sample of research, namely 12 students of SMP HKBP Sei Mati Medan futsal extracurricular students, where in this study using experimental methods and research design using "One Group Pre Test-Post Test Design". Data collection in this study uses data collection techniques in the form of tests. The test used is a test of Nurhasan's futsal game passing skills. Data analysis techniques in this study use statistical data analysis techniques. After conducting the research, the results of this study indicate that the variation of Tri Angle passing exercises has an influence on increasing the accuracy of passing using the inside of the foot for futsal extracurricular students of SMP HKBP Sei Mati Medan in 2025. The variation of Tri Angle passing exercises using the inside of the foot for futsal extracurricular students of SMP HKBP Sei Mati Medan shows that this variation of exercises is suitable to be applied to futsal extracurricular students of SMP HKBP Sei Mati Medan.

Review

This study investigates the effectiveness of "Tri Angle exercise variations" in enhancing inside-of-the-foot passing accuracy among extracurricular futsal students. The research clearly states its objective: to assess the influence of these specific exercises on passing outcomes in a target population of 12 students from SMP HKBP Sei Mati Medan. Utilizing a quantitative experimental approach with a "One Group Pre Test-Post Test Design," the authors collected data through a futsal passing skills test. The abstract concludes that the Tri Angle variations positively influence passing accuracy and are suitable for application within the extracurricular futsal program. However, several methodological concerns emerge that temper the strength of these conclusions. The primary limitation lies in the "One Group Pre Test-Post Test Design" without a control group. This design makes it challenging to unequivocally attribute improvements solely to the intervention, as other factors like natural development, increased practice, or the Hawthorne effect could also contribute to changes in performance. Furthermore, the extremely small sample size of 12 students significantly restricts the generalizability and statistical power of the findings, making it difficult to extend these results to a wider population of futsal players. The abstract also contains a puzzling mention of results indicating an influence "in 2025," which appears to be a chronological error requiring clarification. Despite these limitations, the study introduces a potentially practical training method for improving a fundamental futsal skill. The findings, while preliminary, suggest that the Tri Angle exercise variations warrant further investigation. To solidify these initial indications and provide more robust evidence, future research should employ a more rigorous experimental design, ideally incorporating a larger sample size and a control group. A more detailed description of the Tri Angle exercises themselves, including their structure and duration, would also enhance the replicability and utility of the study for coaches and researchers. Such refinements would enable a more conclusive determination of the efficacy and broader applicability of these exercises in youth futsal training.
