Abstract

A história colonial do Brasil coincide com o assassinato de corpos não heterossexuais. Nesse contexto, a colonialidade de gênero estabelece quais corpos valem mais e quais corpos valem menos a partir do binômio masculino-feminino. Essa realidade pode se manifestar como homofobia internalizada entre pessoas homossexuais, afetando negativamente sua experiência de vida. Este estudo de revisão narrativa objetivou convocar os Estudos Decoloniais ao debate sobre a sexualidade articulada ao conceito de colonialidade de gênero. Aponta-se que a homofobia internalizada tem sua história construída na exploração colonial, a qual se manifesta no estabelecimento de práticas de perseguição e extermínio de condutas homossexuais. Nesse ínterim, a colonialidade de gênero é o braço da colonialidade que agrega a homofobia internalizada como mecanismo, garantindo que as diferenças coloniais continuem atuando no sistema cognitivo das pessoas. Por fim, é necessário que haja mais propostas téorico-práticas que discutam a sexualidade como um problema ligado à colonialidade de gênero.
