Abstract

Review

This review critically examines the recent publication, spearheaded by Sosa y Quispe, of two previously unreleased works by Emma Solá de Solá: *Chango y Mancha. The abstract highlights the remarkable achievement of making these texts available digitally through the collaborative efforts of ICSOH, the Museo Histórico de la Universidad Nacional de Salta, and La Aparecida Ediciones. This innovative approach to disseminating literary heritage, utilizing contemporary digital platforms for texts that have remained hidden, marks a significant moment for literary scholarship and accessibility, presenting a format that challenges traditional notions of engaging with historical literary works. The core contribution of this publication lies not only in bringing previously unknown texts to light but also in profoundly recontextualizing Emma Solá de Solá's literary and academic legacy. For decades, Solá de Solá has been primarily associated with Catholic religious writing, yet these newly unearthed works — *Chango y Mancha* and *Hacia el Norte argentino* — promise to reveal a much broader and multifaceted authorial identity. The abstract explicitly points to the discovery of her academic contributions, her engagements with the literary system of her era, and her diverse relationship with the written word across various domains. This expanded perspective is crucial for a more complete understanding of her place within Argentine literature, particularly that of the North. In conclusion, the publication reviewed herein represents a pivotal development for scholars of Argentine literature, regional studies, and women's writing. By making these seminal works accessible in a modern digital format, it not only enriches the corpus of available texts but also invites a re-evaluation of Emma Solá de Solá's entire oeuvre and influence. This initiative sets a precedent for how institutions can leverage digital technology to recover and disseminate invaluable cultural heritage, fostering new research avenues and ensuring that voices previously relegated to obscurity can finally resonate with a wider audience.
