Abstract

Kajian maqashid syari'ah sering mendapat perhatian dalam berbagai kajian di dunia akademik tidak hanya di ranah hukum, tetapi juga di ranah sosial. Namun belakangan ini, keberagaman tersebut mulai tergerus dengan semakin banyaknya perselisihan sosial berakar agama yang masih terus berlanjut hingga saat ini. Mulai dari insiden ujaran kebencian, penistaan agama dan diskriminasi satu komunitas dengan komunitas lainnya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk membahas pemikiran Jasser Auda tentang Maqasid Syariah dan relevansinya dengan moderasi beragama di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research), adapun data primer yang digunakan adalah karya Jasser Auda yang berjudul "Maqasid al-Shariah as Philosophy of Islamic Law:  A System Approach", sedangkan data sekunder berupa karya-karya yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Al-Maqasid yang digagas oleh Jasser Auda sangat relevan untuk digunakan dalam mengatasi masalah-masalah sosial di Indonesia, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan moderasi beragama.

The paper's contribution lies in bridging an important theoretical framework with a critical practical challenge, offering a potential pathway for academics and policymakers alike to foster a more inclusive and moderate religious landscape in Indonesia.
