Review

The article, "Religious Moderation In An Islamic Perspective: Literature Review And Recent Research Developments," addresses a highly pertinent and urgent topic in contemporary global discourse. In light of increasing extremism and misinterpretations of religious tenets, the paper positions religious moderation as a crucial counter-narrative and a means to achieve equilibrium between established religious values and the dynamic demands of modern times. The abstract indicates a robust methodological approach, combining both quantitative bibliometric analysis and a qualitative literature review, suggesting a comprehensive exploration of the academic landscape surrounding this vital subject. The abstract effectively outlines the dual findings derived from its methodology. The bibliometric analysis reveals a significant focus on research by FM Manshur and H Husni, particularly concerning the promotion of religious moderation through literature-based learning, alongside a high citation rate for studies on understanding moderation and developing multicultural curricula. This quantitative insight into research trends is complemented by the qualitative literature review, which aims to elucidate the core concepts, principles, and practical application of religious moderation in daily life. These findings collectively underscore the multifaceted nature of the field and highlight key areas of scholarly engagement crucial for fostering inclusive societies. The paper posits religious moderation as a vital "middle way" for conflict resolution and the realization of Islam's mission of *rahmatan lil alamin* (a mercy to all worlds). It correctly identifies the pivotal roles of religious leaders, education systems, and social movements in cultivating an inclusive and tolerant societal fabric. While the abstract strongly articulates the necessity and intended impact of religious moderation, the full paper would benefit from a more detailed exposition on how the "recent reforms" specifically adopt Islamic principles to address growing social problems and how the combined quantitative and qualitative insights concretely inform these adaptations. Nonetheless, the article promises a valuable contribution to scholarship by framing religious moderation as an indispensable key to building a harmonious and just society.
