Quando fantasmas danÇam. Análise da representação de Catherine e Heathcliff (O Morro dos Ventos Uivantes) nos videoclipes de Kate Bush, explorando adaptação, intermidialidade e ressignificação artística.
Emily Brontë (1818-1848) em sua obra O Morro dos Ventos Uivantes (1847) explora a representação de sentimentos e tormentos que circundam a natureza humana. O livro serviu e ainda serve de inspiração para a realização de diversas outras obras, não se restringindo apenas ao campo literário, como é o caso da música homônima da cantora Kate Bush (1958-). Assim, tendo em vista o papel desempenhado pela personagem e também a possibilidade de criação e recriação da arte, esse trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a percepção e representação das personagens Catherine e Heathcliff, criadas por Brontë, sob a ótica da produção musical e audiovisual, contando com dois videoclipes de Bush. Para isso, foi necessário recorrer à visão acerca da personagem estabelecida por Candido (2007), aos conceitos de Adaptação (Hutcheon, 2013) e Intermidialidade (Clüver, 2011), além de seguir uma metodologia de análise para videoclipes proposta por Rodríguez-López e Aguaded-Gómez (2013). Dentre os aspectos observados, destaca-se que cada obra possui o seu foco de representação, em especial a troca de ponto de vista ocorrida entre as personagens. Além disso, Bush cria novas concepções, reafirmando a capacidade das artes de se ressignificar e atualizar os seus sentidos.
