Abstract

Landscape projects are a planning tool introduced by the Tuscany Landscape Plan to implement its strategic part, with the aim of protecting and enhancing the region's diverse landscapes starting from their specificities, local resources, and identity elements. These regional-level plans and projects engage directly with local territories through specific initiatives, defining a framework of coherence that integrates multisectoral actions. They are realized with guidelines and regulations for the development of best practices, leading to high- quality interventions. These projects arise from a vision of landscape preservation and enhancement that goes beyond mere constraints; they are based on regional development strategies and are coordinated and developed with local needs in mind, aiming to foster greater interaction and integration between development policies and landscape policies, becoming attractors of resources and opportunities for the territories.
