Abstract

Abstrak: Islam adalah agama yang membawa rahmat bagi seluruh alam, sebagaimana tercantum dalam Al-Qur'an. Konsep ini menekankan bahwa ajaran Islam mengandung nilai-nilai universal yang menyebarkan kedamaian, keadilan, dan kesejahteraan untuk semua umat manusia serta lingkungan di sekitarnya. Namun, dalam praktiknya, pemahaman dan penerapan konsep ini sering kali menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik di tingkat individu, sosial, maupun global. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji makna rahmatan lil ‘alamin dari sudut pandang Al-Qur'an, Hadis, dan pemikiran para ulama. Selain itu, akan dibahas bagaimana prinsip ini dapat diwujudkan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk pendidikan, ekonomi, politik, dan hubungan antarumat beragama. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep Islam sebagai Rahmatan lil ‘Alaminhanya dapat terwujud jika kita memahami dan mengamalkan nilai-nilai toleransi, keadilan sosial, serta etika dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk menciptakan sinergi antara individu, komunitas, dan kebijakan pemerintah guna membangun tatanan sosial yang inklusif dan harmonis sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam.
