Abstract

Review

The article "Ledelse i en virtuel hverdag" addresses an exceptionally pertinent and timely topic: the complexities of leadership within hybrid work environments. Drawing from an action research project, the authors identify critical challenges faced by leaders operating remotely, specifically highlighting a deficit in feedback, difficulties in establishing trust, and the detrimental impact of reduced interaction on practical judgment, motivation, and well-being for both leaders and employees. This initial framing sets a strong foundation for exploring the often-overlooked human and organizational dimensions of virtual leadership. A significant strength of this work lies in its direct engagement with the practical issues emerging from the shift to hybrid models. The abstract promises to delineate four distinct perspectives on leading hybrid workplaces, which, if thoroughly developed in the full paper, could provide a valuable analytical framework. Furthermore, the identification of concrete needs for "organisering, træning og fordybelse samt organisatorisk støtte" demonstrates a practical, solution-oriented approach. These proposed interventions suggest a pathway for organizations to proactively address the problems identified, moving beyond mere problem description to offering tangible recommendations for improvement. To maximize its impact, the full article should elaborate on the methodology of the action research project, providing detailed insights into how these problems and needs were identified and validated. A deeper exploration of the theoretical underpinnings of the four perspectives would also enrich the academic contribution, demonstrating how they integrate with existing leadership theory. Nonetheless, the abstract clearly outlines a highly relevant and practically valuable study that promises to offer significant insights into effective leadership in the evolving landscape of work. Given its practical implications and robust problem identification, this article is poised to be a valuable addition to the literature on organizational leadership.
