Abstract

W artykule przedstawiono dzieje nieistniejącego obecnie kościoła św. Wawrzyńca, pierwotnie zlokalizowanego w podkrakowskiej wsi Bawół, która po lokacji miasta \ Kazimierza została włączona w granice nowego miasta. Autor, wykorzystując dotychczasowe opracowania oraz zachowane źródła (dotychczas w znacznej części nieeksplorowane), nie tylko uzupełnił wiedzę o tej świątyni, ale również zweryfikował błędne informacje powielane w literaturze na temat kościoła. Dokonał nowych ustaleń na temat architektury, wyposażenia i daty zniesienia świątyni. Dzięki zastosowaniu technologii GIS autor dokonał również lokalizacji kościoła we współczesnej topografii miasta Krakowa.
