Implementasi program sekolah adiwiyata untuk meningkatkan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa sdn piyaman i. Pelajari implementasi Program Adiwiyata di SDN Piyaman I, berhasil meningkatkan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa melalui rutinitas bersih-bersih pagi. Temukan faktor pendukung & tantangan.
This study explores the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program at SDN Piyaman I, which differs from other schools through its routine of holding a morning assembly followed by litter collection from Monday to Thursday. The objectives were: (1) to describe how the program enhances students’ environmental care character, and (2) to analyze supporting factors and challenges in its implementation. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the program was successfully implemented, as students became accustomed to picking up litter after assemblies, significantly shaping their environmental care character. Supporting factors included the principal’s support, teachers’ active roles, the Adiwiyata team, student participation, and collaboration with parents, the community, and related institutions. Challenges such as limited awareness, lack of facilities, and uneven teacher understanding were addressed through persuasive approaches, socialization, and external collaboration.
This study, titled "Implementasi Program Sekolah Adiwiyata untuk Meningkatkan Karakter Peduli Lingkungan Siswa SDN Piyaman I," offers a pertinent and well-focused examination of environmental education within an Indonesian primary school setting. The research effectively outlines the Adiwiyata Program's implementation, distinguished by its unique routine of morning assemblies followed by litter collection. The objectives are clearly stated, aiming to describe the program's impact on students' environmental care character and to analyze the supporting factors and challenges in its execution. The chosen qualitative case study design, employing a robust methodology involving interviews, observations, and documentation, is appropriate for an in-depth understanding of the program's mechanisms and outcomes. The abstract highlights significant findings, particularly the program's successful implementation and its positive influence on students' environmental care character, evidenced by their regular engagement in litter collection. The identification of key supporting factors, such as strong leadership, active teacher roles, dedicated teams, student participation, and crucial external collaborations with parents and the community, provides a comprehensive overview of the enablers of success. Furthermore, the study candidly addresses practical challenges like limited awareness and facility constraints, detailing how these were effectively mitigated through persuasive approaches and collaborative efforts. While the abstract strongly asserts the program's success in "significantly shaping" character, the full paper would benefit from a more detailed exposition of the specific qualitative or behavioral indicators used to measure this significant shaping beyond the observable habit of litter picking. Overall, this research presents a valuable contribution to the literature on environmental education and character development, offering practical insights that could inform similar initiatives in other schools. The detailed case study approach provides a rich understanding of program implementation within a specific context, serving as a compelling model. While the inherent nature of a case study design limits the generalizability of its findings, it excels in providing profound insights into the subject matter. Future research could potentially build upon these findings by exploring the long-term impact on students' environmental behavior outside the school setting, investigating the adaptability of this specific morning routine to different school environments, or conducting comparative studies to further validate its distinct effectiveness.
