Abstract

Coronary heart disease is a condition of insufficient supply of blood and oxygen to the heart muscle. The most common cause of myocardial ischemia is atherosclerotic disease in one or more of the epicardial coronary arteries that is severe enough to cause inadequate blood flow and perfusion to the heart muscle supplied by the coronary arteries. The purpose of this study is to find out things that have to do with coronary heart disease in several regions of Indonesia for the period 2010 to 2021. This research method is an analytical research by synthesizing the results obtained from fourteen scientific research journals with a case control research design. The results of the research from fourteen journals analyzed showed that there were things that were related to coronary heart disease in several locations in Indonesia, namely there was a significant relationship between Diabetes Mellitus, obesity, smoking, hypertension, dyslipidemia, fa mily history of coronary heart disease with hypertension. values <0.05. The conclusion of coronary heart disease in several locations in the territory of Indonesia for the period 2010 to 2021 there is a significant relationship with diabetes mellitus, obesity, smoking, hypertension, dyslipidemia, family history.

Review

This review evaluates a study titled "Hal-Hal Yang Ada Hubungan Dengan Penyakit Jantung Koroner Pada Penderita Di Beberapa Lokasi Wilayah Indonesia Periode Tahun 2010 Sampai Dengan Tahun 2021," which aims to identify factors associated with coronary heart disease (CHD) in various regions of Indonesia between 2010 and 2021. The paper adopts an analytical research approach, synthesizing findings from fourteen scientific journals, all employing a case-control research design. Such a synthesis is potentially valuable for understanding the broad landscape of CHD risk factors within a specific geographical and temporal context, especially given the public health burden of cardiovascular diseases globally and in Indonesia. The primary strength of this study lies in its attempt to consolidate existing research, drawing together data from multiple sources to provide a more comprehensive picture of CHD associations. The abstract reports significant relationships between CHD and several established risk factors, including Diabetes Mellitus, obesity, smoking, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and family history, with p-values consistently less than 0.05. These findings align with global epidemiological patterns and reinforce the importance of these modifiable and non-modifiable factors in the Indonesian population, offering crucial insights for targeted public health interventions and clinical management strategies. However, several methodological details crucial for evaluating the robustness of a synthesis study are not elaborated in the abstract. Key information regarding the search strategy for identifying the fourteen journals, their specific inclusion and exclusion criteria, and any assessment of the quality or potential heterogeneity of these included studies is absent. Furthermore, the phrasing regarding "family history of coronary heart disease with hypertension. values <0.05" could be clarified to distinguish whether hypertension is being reiterated or specifically linked with family history in a distinct finding. Future publications of this work would benefit from explicitly detailing these methodological components and discussing the limitations inherent in synthesizing studies of varying quality or designs to enhance the credibility and interpretability of its conclusions.
