The paper, "EVALUATION OF THE UIN SULTHAN THAHA SAIFUDDIN JAMBI WEBSITE USING THE USABILITY TESTING METHOD," addresses a highly pertinent topic in the current digital academic landscape: the usability of university websites. The abstract clearly establishes the critical role of such platforms in providing essential academic and administrative information to diverse stakeholders, including students, lecturers, and the general public. Recognizing persistent challenges like suboptimal navigation and unclear information structures, the study aimed to systematically evaluate the website of Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. This initiative is commendable, as effective digital presence is paramount for modern educational institutions, and a clear understanding of user experience is crucial for continuous improvement. The methodology employed for this evaluation is robust, utilizing a combination of Usability Testing and the widely recognized System Usability Scale (SUS). The involvement of a substantial and diverse group of 97 respondents, comprising students, lecturers, and university staff, enhances the credibility and representativeness of the findings across key user groups. Data collection through observation, interviews, and SUS questionnaires is appropriate for capturing both qualitative and quantitative insights into the five primary attributes of usability: learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction. The core finding—a SUS score of 54.27—is explicitly stated and critically assessed by the authors as being below average, indicating significant room for improvement. The identification of specific usability issues, particularly concerning navigation and information structure, provides actionable insights for the university. This study makes a valuable contribution by providing a data-driven assessment of the UIN STS Jambi website's usability. The application of a standardized tool like SUS alongside qualitative methods is a strength, offering a comprehensive view of user experience. While the abstract concludes that the website is generally "accepted well," the low SUS score (54.27) suggests that this acceptance might be grudging or based on a lack of alternatives rather than genuine satisfaction, highlighting the urgency of addressing the identified deficiencies. The findings strongly imply that UIN STS Jambi should prioritize redesign efforts focused on improving navigation and restructuring information to enhance user experience, thereby fulfilling the website's potential as a vital digital resource for its community.
