This paper presents a valuable case study examining the empowerment of women through the Srikandi Jaya Women Farmers Group in Bukit Biru Village, Tenggarong District. The research clearly articulates its purpose: to identify the forms of empowerment, levels of participation, and benefits accrued by the group members. This focus on practical outcomes of agricultural programs aimed at women's development, particularly in improving skills, creativity, and insight, is highly relevant to current discussions on gender equality and rural development. The title and abstract effectively convey the study's specific context and objectives, setting a clear scope for understanding the dynamics of women's groups as agents of change. The methodology employed is described as a descriptive qualitative method, complemented by the use of Likert-scale measurements to assess attitudes and participation, utilizing a census approach with 29 respondents. This mixed approach, which combines qualitative descriptive analysis with quantitative scoring for specific indicators, offers a robust framework for assessing group dynamics. The results are particularly compelling, highlighting that the empowerment program manifests through the group acting as a learning, cooperation, and production unit. Furthermore, the high participation rates observed across various indicators—monthly meetings, agricultural counseling, and training programs—underscore the group's engagement. The identified benefits, including increased group income, enhanced roles of women, higher participation, and improved knowledge and insight, provide strong evidence of the program's positive impact. Overall, the study makes a significant contribution by providing empirical evidence of successful women's empowerment initiatives within an agricultural context. A strength of this paper lies in its detailed articulation of both the mechanisms of empowerment and their measurable benefits. While the abstract sufficiently details the findings, the full paper would benefit from a more explicit discussion on how the "descriptive qualitative method" was integrated with the Likert-scale scoring for a cohesive analysis. Future research could further explore the sustainability of these benefits over time and the generalizability of these findings to other women's farmer groups facing different socio-economic challenges, thereby enriching the understanding of women's empowerment in diverse agricultural landscapes.
