A mobile-based digital solution (mozak) for mosque management in the modern era.. Mozak is a mobile-based app for efficient and transparent zakat management at mosques. Facilitates online payments, real-time data, and improves operational efficiency for administrators.
The mobile-based zakat management application serves as a modern solution to enhance the transparency and efficiency of zakat management at the local level. Mozak (Mobile Zakat) is an Android-based application implemented at Masjid Al-Ikhlas, Desa Janti, Sidoarjo, aimed at facilitating the collection, distribution, and monitoring of zakat. The application is designed with a user-friendly interface, allowing muzakki to pay zakat online and helping mosque administrators manage zakat data in real-time. This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Mozak application in supporting zakat activities at Masjid Al-Ikhlas, showing an improvement in operational efficiency. Additionally, the application enhances transparency in the distribution of zakat to mustahik
The submitted work, titled "A Mobile-Based Digital Solution (Mozak) for Mosque Management in the Modern Era," addresses a highly relevant and timely topic concerning the digitalization of religious administrative practices. The abstract introduces Mozak, an Android-based mobile application designed to enhance the transparency and efficiency of zakat management, specifically implemented at Masjid Al-Ikhlas. This initiative aligns well with the growing need for modern technological solutions to streamline traditional processes, aiming to improve the collection, distribution, and monitoring of zakat at a local level. The proposed Mozak application demonstrates several commendable features, including a user-friendly interface that facilitates online zakat payments for *muzakki* and provides real-time data management for mosque administrators. The abstract highlights a crucial outcome: an observed improvement in operational efficiency and enhanced transparency in the distribution of zakat to *mustahik*. This practical implementation at a specific mosque offers a concrete example of how digital tools can positively impact local community services, potentially serving as a model for other religious institutions striving for similar advancements. While the abstract presents a promising solution and positive initial results, a more detailed elaboration on the methodology used to *evaluate* the application's effectiveness would significantly strengthen the paper. For instance, understanding the specific metrics employed to quantify "operational efficiency" and "enhanced transparency" is crucial. Future iterations of this work could benefit from discussing the challenges faced during implementation, user adoption rates, security protocols for financial transactions, and the scalability of Mozak to a broader network of mosques. Addressing these points would provide a more comprehensive understanding of the application's robustness and its potential for wider impact beyond the initial pilot site.
